Don't get me wrong, just yesterday a dear friend of mine who's daughter has beautiful mixed skin was placed in a classroom where not a single child was white. She said it was coincidence (bless her optimism), I said "I highly doubt that". So please don't think I am unaware of the racism that still exists in the public school system, I'm not but to say the system fails minorities even MORE so than other kids, honey, I can't get behind that. The system is so broken, it hurts every child,every one.

The school system is failing black, latino and other children of color at a rate that far surpasses white children.

serina said: Do you mean “failing” as in less make it to graduation? Are we talking statistics? I’ve been playing an active role in fund raising and volunteering at the elementary school nearest my home. All the kids are suffering equally there.
