I just want to remark that it seems like a lot of white people are clamoring around what Kevin Costner had to say about her. It was a lovely speech, but it no only did it come off as “I was the reason Whitney ever started working in films,” it boiled down to, “And it happened because I am white.”

Thank you Kevin Costner for being Whitney’s white cinema savior, while effectively talking more about yourself at her funeral than you talked about Whitney. I felt like I was watching a clip of the help at this woman’s funeral.

I think the most moving speeches were delivered by her Assistant/Driver, Ray and by her sister. Two of the people who knew her most intimately. I was also really moved by the stories presented by Alicia Keys and Cece Winans.
