I am awesome every day & you are too.

I'm a writer of aricles, poems & songs. Here's some cool stuff I wrote.
This amazing project exposes the unknown history of black women in rock and celebrates their contribution to rock music in the only way they know, Nice & Rough. Currently in production. Slated for completion in 2012.
Nice and Rough.
Please let your voice be heard!
I wanna to help my friends at Afro-punk spread the word about an important research project they are conducting to challenge how our community is perceived in mainstream media.
With your help and 15 minutes of your time, the information you share will be used as a tool to better understand the diversity of our community and show that people of color and particularly young people of color aren’t monolithic and don’t fit into the boxes that are set for us!
Afro-punk wants the world to know that we are socially conscious, care about the environment and have varied tastes. The more replies Afro-punk has, the louder our voices will be heard so please ask all of your friends to take action, reblog, take the survey and have their voices be heard.
The world is listening to what you have to say, Your replies to this survey (you can also click-through the image) will help Afro-Punk understand what matters to you as a young person of color.
Please know that your information will be kept strictly anonymous and your individual responses are not going to a brand and will not be sold for sponsorship. There are about 50 questions, some of them are quite thought-provoking, and it may take a bit of time to get through it. Please keep in mind that they can only use your answers if you complete the whole survey.
For the record… (From Afro-Punk)
- We need your HONEST opinion; say what you think and say what you feel.
- Your individual survey response is not going to a brand, nor will it be sold to sponsors, etc.
- We can only use your answers if you complete the whole survey.
- Your information shared via the survey will be kept strictly anonymous
Thank you so much for taking the time to help represent our community!
I need rockin’ guitar, drums and bass to complete this project. I would like to have all recordings completed by August 12th at the latest for mastering & whatnot.
If you’re down, holla at my Ask Box and we shall communicate, 21st century style.
Cee Lo Green by Sam Spratt
Cee Lo is performing at this year’s Afro Punk fest as well. Yeah.
Dates are Saturday August 27th & Sunday the 28th in Brooklyn.
My latest Rockstar In Training article about the Musician’s Roundtable at University of Louisville is up on Afropunk.com! Click through and check it out!
The 2nd song on the Afropunk.com player right now is a (good!) song called The End of Jason Todd by The Smyrk.
I know there are a couple of you who will enjoy it for various reasons.
My latest Rockstar In Training blog is up on Afropunk.com!
From my article:
Hell yeah, you guys! I got some concrete things done for my Rockstar career this month! After writhing around on the floor moaning, “Woe is me, the tortured artist!” last month, I was able to stock up the energy to really get to work! I joined a couple of professional music industry organizations and made some of my newest songs mine, legally. I played a gig where I inspired a new musician and played a couple of my new songs out for the first time! I even made a little rough demo/sample recording of one of my newest songs called “Cinder Girl,” which will be featured on my upcoming album, “The Awesomest of Them All!”
I really tumblr’d it up in this article. There are pictures, an associated youtube video and even a song! Check it out and give it a Facebook like if you’re into that sorta thing. <3
