THE INTERNET IS AMAZING

My friend, Marianna gave me a Pizza Hut gift card for my birthday/new year’s/because she’s awesome.

We have never met face-to-face but she is my internet BFF. I mean, the woman knows me well enough to give me snacks over anything else.

So this iBFF relationship created some super good vibes, purely over the phone and via the interwebs.

Then I ordered the pizza on the internet, lol. It should be here in a half hour or so.

The internet is fucking amazing.

In a Google Chat conversation I had with my IBFF (Internet Best Friend Forever) and fellow interweb writer, Marianna, we discussed giving ourselves life makeovers. As of right now, Marianna and I are both within a forty day range of our next birthdays. Holler if you would like to give us presents of beer, baked goods or baked goods. Anyway, I think the annual return of the sun to the place it was at a person’s birth is a great time to initiate change, and reestablish focuses. Our specific desire for a change is also partially due to the present economic climate’s abusive relationship with our bank accounts.

Writing In Bed: DAUGHTERS OF THE NEW RECESSION
by Marianna Tabares

Yesterday after bonding over nachos and agreeing that we both miss the good ol’ days, I dubbed Marianna my IBF.
This article is really awesome, and hits how I feel about a lot of things right on the nose, in regards to money and being a young woman with dreams and passion to create.
It’s downright nasty how incredibly fucked the economy is (I mean, look at the OJ shelf at the supermarket. Shit costs more than petrol!) and creating the future we really want for ourselves.
Marianna was also cool enough to include me in this article. This is some fantastic writing to absorb on a beautiful Autumn morning.

My gurl Marianna (aka WritingInBed on Tumblr) wrote an EXCELLENT op/ed piece on Hello Giggles which I found to be a delightful read. It’s about the stories we create in our minds in regards to how others (or life in general) reacts to us.
Here’s an excerpt:

When you become aware of the stories you create, you can empower yourself by remembering that you are in charge of them. When you hear a comment or opinion that you feel applies to you, I can assure you that it’s a mistake to assume someone is trying to make a jab at you. Unless they are telling you directly that you are the one being discussed, never ever create a story in your mind that you’re the person in question.
